Paederia foetida, also known as skunkvine, is a fast-growing, perennial, woody climbing vine with slender stems up to 10 meters long. It has opposite, opposite, ovate to lanceolate leaves that emit a foul, sulfurous odor when crushed. The plant produces loose inflorescences of funnel-shaped, white to pale yellow flowers with a red or purple throat. Its fruit is a sub-spherical or ellipsoid drupe containing two flat, semi-circular kernels
